Year 4 Residential Visit to the Pioneer Centre

Friday

What a great first day!

After an exciting bus ride, we arrived at the centre and quickly settled down to lunch.

Once full of food, we met all of the other children we are spending the weekend with and soon headed off to our first group activity, hunt the leader. There was some great teamwork on display straight away from everyone, including the adults who were hiding in disguise. We then met our activity leaders for the weekend who wore us out with lots of games.

With some time to settle into our rooms and make our beds (very successfully!) it was then time for the highlight of every day: DINNER!

However, I think we have a new residential highlight. Tonight, we had a magic show! We are all still trying to work out how he did all of the amazing tricks!

Everyone then finally settled down for bed with lots of excitement for Day 2!

Saturday

It was blue skies and sunshine on Saturday - the perfect weather for climbing, caving and archery. We even had a chance to decorate some biscuits themed to the Easter story with the church team, then is was pizza for lunch and back into the sun for more fun!

After an excting visit to the tuck shop in the afternoon, we had songs around the fire and set up for a movie night. Duvets, snacks and a film with friends; what better way to end a Saturday?
