Sports Teams and Fixtures
We take part in a wide range of sporting fixtures and events, ensuring children throughout the school are given opportunities to represent the school or attend sporting festivals and events. You can see some of the most recent activities below.
Our U9 girls footballers came 3rd overall in their tournament and played some fantastic football.
Year 2 had a great time learning some new sports at the multi-skills event at Meole Brace Secondary.
It was a narrow 1-0 defeat to Greenfields in the County Cup for our U11 girls. Such an excellent match - good luck to Greenfields in the rest of the competition.
Our U11 girls team came 3rd overall in the EFL Cup at the Shrewsbury Town football ground.
A team of KS2 children represented us fantastically at Mary Webb School in a multi-skills event.
Year 5 and 6 girls took part in a wide range of sports at Lilleshall National Sports Centre as part of the This Girl Can initiative.
Y6 children enjoyed a tennis workshop at the Shrewsbury Club before watching the professionals in the W100 tournament. What an amazing experience!
The teams we entered in the U11 Girls' competition both did fantastically well, with one of the teams winning the whole tournament.

The U11 Boys Football played brilliantly in their tournament with the three teams involved each winning one game and finishing on equal points, so we just missed out on goal difference.
The U11 Girls' Football team had a fantastic tournament at the Sports Village, drawing three games and narrowly losing two.
We had great success at the Cross Country festival held at Attingham Park.
The Under 11 Netball team reached the final of the Shrewsbury School Games tournament.
Our Girls Football team were semi-finalists at the Big Football Festival held at Shrewsbury School.
Our Hockey team reached the semi-finals of their tournament, finishing in 3rd place overall. Amazing effort!
Well done to our Shrewsbury Primary Schools Netball League champions! The team went undefeated, winning every game this season.
Our Boys Indoor Athletics team came fifth overall in their competition, while the Girls Team were the overall winners and will go on to represent Shrewsbury in the County Finals!
A group of Year 6 pupils completed the next stage of their Sports Leaders training at Meole Brace Secondary, developing their leadership skills and enabling them to run sports activities with younger pupils in school.

The Under 9 boys football team made it all the way to the semi-final of their tournament, narrowly losing out to the eventual overall winners on penalties.

With our Year 6 children away at Arthog, our Year 5s stepped up and played some great football at the EFL Cup, hosted at the STFC football ground.
Both of our teams reached the quarter finals of the Shrewsbury Tag Rugby tournament.
