Online Safety

Welcome to Meole Brace C of E Primary School and Nursery's Online Safety page. We are committed to keeping children safe online and through our Computing curriculum and our PSHE curriculum, we aim to equip children with the knowledge they need to keep themselves safe by making them aware of the potential dangers online and what we can do to avoid them. We also recognise that keeping children safe online is everyone's responsibility and it is essential that school work in partnership with parents/carers to do this.

Within this page, you will find some useful information and links related to online safety. Firstly, we would like to make you aware of CEOP, which is the government's Child Exploitation and Online Protection Centre. If you wish to report some inappropriate content or behaviour online then click on the button and follow the directions on their pages.

We would also like to introduce you to an industry backed website for parents/carers which aims to provide a good understanding of issues affecting children today. Take a look here:

Each year, countries around the world celebrate Safer Internet Day. This year's event took place on Tuesday 6th February with the theme "Inspiring change? Making a difference, managing influence and navigating change online" and children explored the issues that really matter to children and young people in relation to staying safe online.
