We take part in a wide range of sporting fixtures and events, ensuring children throughout the school are given opportunities to represent the school or attend sporting festivals and events. You can see some of the most recent activities below.
We had great success at the Cross Country festival held at Attingham Park.The Under 11 Netball team reached the final of the Shrewsbury School Games tournament.Our Girls Football team were semi-finalists at the Big Football Festival held at Shrewsbury School.Our Hockey team reached the semi-finals of their tournament, finishing in 3rd place overall. Amazing effort!Well done to our Shrewsbury Primary Schools Netball League champions! The team went undefeated, winning every game this season. Our Boys Indoor Athletics team came fifth overall in their competition, while the Girls Team were the overall winners and will go on to represent Shrewsbury in the County Finals!A group of Year 6 pupils completed the next stage of their Sports Leaders training at Meole Brace Secondary, developing their leadership skills and enabling them to run sports activities with younger pupils in school. The Under 10 Girls football team representing the school in a tournament at Shrewsbury Sports Village.A group of Key Stage 2 children enjoyed a special swimming workshop at Shrewsbury School, developing their swimming skills and even trying a bit of water polo!The Under 9 boys football team made it all the way to the semi-final of their tournament, narrowly losing out to the eventual overall winners on penalties.Our Under 9 girls football team recorded their first victory.With our Year 6 children away at Arthog, our Year 5s stepped up and played some great football at the EFL Cup, hosted at the STFC football ground.Both of our teams reached the quarter finals of the Shrewsbury Tag Rugby tournament. A group of Year 4 children enjoyed a fantastic day at the Shrewsbury Club, taking part in a tennis workshop in the morning before watching the professionals in the afternoon.A very wet Under 9 mixed boys and girls football team after reaching the quarter final of a tournament at Shrewsbury School, having got through their group with two wins and a draw and zero goals conceded! The Under 11 boys team played some brilliant football in a 6-3 home win over Belvidere. The Under 11 boys football team played five games at Shrewsbury Sports Village, winning one, losing one and drawing three. Two tough fixtures for our Under 11 girls football team saw us lose out to Greenfields and Mereside. Well played all!Our mixed boys and girls football team made it all the way to the final of their competition where they narrowly lost out to Wilfred Owen School. The Under 11s boys football team played out a hard-fought 0-0 draw with Harlescott.The Under 11 girls football team in action at Shrewsbury Sports Village.
