Good Morning Octopuses and Penguins. Thank you for all of the work that you have already sent through - it has been lovely to hear from you and see what you have been up to.
As I'm sure you have seen, we have a new way for you to access the Home Learning and we hope you have been able to access the 'sways' so far. Please do let us know if you are experiencing any problems.

Hello Octopuses and Penguins and a Happy New Year to you all! I hope you all had a fun Christmas and we also hope that you enjoyed the snow that we got last week!
We can't wait to all be back together, but, we will have to wait a little bit longer due to the new lockdown. Nevertheless, we have prepared some fun activities for you to complete at home. These can be found on the 'Home Learning' tab. We both look forward to seeing some of the fantastic work you will do over the next few weeks.
We can't wait to see you all soon and hear all about your Christmas and what fun you might have at home over the next few weeks.

Wow - what a busy half term so far. We have been working so hard learning lots about London. Above there should be some pictures of some of the fantastic sketches Octopuses have recently done. We looked at drawing a picture with lots of detail by light and dark lines.

Thank you for all working so hard this half term. It's been an absolutely fantastic start to the year! We've been really busy learning all about The Wild. It was also lovely to talk to so many of you parents in our parent, teacher calls.
I'm really excited for the next term and our topic, London.
Don't forget to use the useful websites below. Hit the button - number bonds is also a useful game to play.
Wednesday 7th October -
What an exciting term it has been so far. Year 2 have been really busy doing lots of work on our theme 'The Wild.'
Today was an excting day as one of our butterflys emerged from it's cocoon. This is our second butterfly now and we have loved watching them grow from tiny caterpillars.
Please find a picture of the butterfly just after it emerged. It's wings are small and crumpled. We watched it stretch out and dry its wings all morning.
This year we have PE on a Tuesday and a Friday so please make sure you have your PE kit in school.
We will also be going to Forest School on a Friday afternoon so you will need suitable clothing and shoes in school for this. (A waterproof coat, trousers and shoes.)
