Ofsted and SIAMS Report
It is with great pleasure that I write to share the news that our school has once again been rated “good” by Ofsted following our two-day inspection, which took place in mid-November. With a newly implemented and highly demanding inspection framework this year, which looks closely at school curriculum provision, this is a really pleasing outcome.
I am delighted that Ofsted has recognised the excellent work taking place here at Meole Brace C of E Primary School and Nursery and how: “Pupils enjoy school and they learn a lot”.
The inspector noted how we have maintained the “good standard of education” offered to the children and continued to drive improvement, resulting in “positive changes across the school”.
The report also recognises our school’s place “at the heart of the local community” and how our “values of ‘community, respect and perseverance’ weave through the school’s curriculum and ethos.” This recognition combined with the acknowledgement that our children’s behaviour is “good at all times of the day” and that they “look out for one another” was particularly pleasing.
The full report, which highlights many other strengths of the school, as well as areas for further development, has been sent to all parents/carers via e-mail and is now available below and on the Ofsted website.
We could not have achieved this outcome without all your support, and I would like to take this opportunity to thank you, the children, Governors and our dedicated staff for their hard work and commitment. I feel very proud of everything we have achieved together so far and look forward to the school continuing this journey as we strive to provide the children with the best possible starts and opportunities to fulfil their boundless potentials.
As always, should you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.
