Letters and Sounds Parent Workshop

To help parents/carers support children with their phonics learning and early reading at home, Miss Jones delivered a Letters and Sounds workshop on Thursday 3rd September 2019. Miss Jones explained our approach to phonics in school and its importance in children’s development as early readers and writers. Thank you to those who attended and for those of you who were unable to be there, please find the slides below.

Should you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact either of our Literacy Leaders; Miss Jones or Mrs Wilson via the school office or speak to your child’s teacher. For more information about Literacy and our approaches to Reading and Writing, please visit the relevant website pages under the Curriculum tab.

Christian Theme of the Month

The Christian theme for this half term is 'Trust'.

"My God is my strength in whom I trust." Psalm 18.2

In school we will be:

Exploring the value of trust.

Encouraging pupils to put trust in each other and adults both in school and at home.

Exploring what makes a person trustworthy and how we can earn the trust of others.

Parents and carers, please help us at home to support your child in their understanding of the above concepts.
