Early Reading and Phonics Parent/Carer Workshop

To help parents/carers support children with their phonics learning and early reading at home, Miss Jones has pre-recorded an information session for you to watch at home. Miss Jones explains our approach to phonics in school and its importance in children’s development as early readers and writers.

Should you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact either of our Literacy Leaders; Miss Jones or Mrs Wilson via the school office or speak to your child’s teacher. For more information about Literacy and our approaches to Reading and Writing, please visit the relevant website pages under the Curriculum tab.

Christian Theme of the Month

The Christian theme for this half term is 'Courage'.

"Be strong and courageous; do not be frightened or dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go." Joshua 1.9

In school we will be:

Exploring the value of courage.

Encouraging pupils to show courage when things are difficult.

Exploring ways in which we can be courageous in our learning and both in and out of school.

Parents and carers, please help us at home to support your child in their understanding of the above concepts.
