COVID-19 Information and Guidance
COVID-19 Safety Procedures
Please find information below about our COVID-19 safety measures since September 2021.
Year Group ‘Bubbles’
In line with the Department for Education’s “Schools COVID-19 operational guidance” document, "bubbles" are no longer required. This means that children are able to mix more freely with children from other year groups, including at break and lunchtimes.
Drop-off and Pick-up
Staggered start and finish times are no longer required in Step 4 and so since September, we have reverted to opening the doors for all children at 8.45am and the window for drop-off will remain open until 9.00am. Any children arriving after 9.00am will be marked as late and will need to enter the building through the main entrance via the school office. Key Stage 1 pick-up is 3.00pm and Key Stage 2 pick-up will be 3.05pm as before. (Reception parents/carers, please refer to your previous letters and information video – Starfish Class drop-off is 8.40am and pick-up is 3.00pm, while Seahorse Class drop-off is 8.50am with pick-up at 3.10pm to avoid congestion at the blue doors in from the Early Years Foundation Stage playground).
Please see the table below for full timings and drop-off and pick-up locations.

Breakfast Club and After School Care
Both Breakfast Club and our Sandcastles and Lighthouse after school care provision continue, operating from the same locations. Extra-curricular clubs are also on offer for children to sign up to each half term.
Lunchtimes
As mentioned, with the bubble system no longer in place, children will be able to come into contact with children from different year groups and therefore we have returned to having all children eat lunch in one of our two halls in the autumn term. Whether a child has a school lunch or a packed lunch from home, they will sit down with each of the children from their year group in the same hall, at the same time to enable them to eat and socialise with their friends.
Hygiene
Enhanced cleaning, particularly of surfaces and high contact areas, continues during the school day and children and adults continue to wash their hands thoroughly throughout the day.
Ventilation
We also continue to ensure that there is good airflow throughout the school and wherever practical, windows and external doors are kept open.
Face Coverings
Adults in school will wear face coverings in communal areas such as corridors.
Isolation
Close contacts of a positive case of COVID-19 no longer necessarily have to self-isolate - please see our COVID-19 Outbreak Management Plan Summary below for full details.
