Compliments and Suggestions

We have a compliment and suggestion box in our main reception and we thought that it was a good idea to share some of these with you so that you can see that we do read every one of them and take action if we are able to. Please feel free to e-mail us anything that you would like to add to this page.

Date Suggestion Action/Comment
September 2016 A parent had said that her bank had advised her not to leave her mobile phone with the office staff as they would become liable.

We have a policy where we do not allow mobile telephones in school, all visitors are asked to leave them in the office when they sign in.

We advise all parents/carers/visitors to leave their mobile phones off site as the safety of our children is paramount.

September 2016 From a supply teacher A fabulous, friendly school. A delight to do some supply work!
September 2016   Really useful and informative Year 1 transition meeting - thank you!
September 2016 It used to be nice to see my children's names in the newsletter when they achieved a writing/maths award and it seems to be a shame it seems to have stopped this year. Many thanks for this comment. We have changed things slightly this year, good work for english and maths are celebrated in class on Fridays and are displayed on the learning walls.
September 2016 From a supply teacher I just wanted to say how welcoming and helpful both children and staff are towards teachrs who come to work in the school temporarily. Thank you
Summer Term 2016 We invited all Parents and Carers in to have lunch with their children.

These are some of the comments left by Parents;

Lovely to have lunch with the children, the table could do with being a little further apart.

Had a lovely time at lunch and I really enjoyed staying with my child to watch 'voices' club, what a beautiful choir singing!

Very nice dinner, an excellent military operation!

Wonderful staff, really clean and well organised. Lovely food, what a great idea.

Enjoyed my roast dinner, lovely to come into school and experience lunchtime

Summer 2016 Please can we have the paper newsletters be sent home?  We are trying very hard to limit the amount of printing that we do and more and more information is being accessed through this website, we do have paper copies in our main reception, please feel free to pop in to collect one.  We will be emailling the newsletters in the Autumn term which is what many other of our parents have requested.
19.5.16 The new menu is not as favorable with the Children. Many thanks for this comment. Shire Services introduce a new menu each April and we work closely with them to ensure that our children and parents are happy with the choices. We had already changed three of the meal choices from the menu introduced recently as they were not proving popular, you will see a new menu has been added to reflect these changes.

Christian Theme of the Month

The Christian theme for this half term is 'Truthfulness'.

In school we will be:

Helping children to explore and understand the concept of truth.

Encouraging all members of the school community to be truthful in their interaction with one another.

Exploring the concept of being true to oneself.

Encouraging children to develop their understanding of the moral choices we are sometimes faced with in life.

Exploring how through Jesus's teaching we are given an insight into the nature of God and the way he means us to live.

Parents and carers, please help us at home to support your child in their understanding of the above concepts.
