Year 3 - Sharks 2017 - 2018

Mr Hunter

Week ending 16.2.18.

This term in Sharks, Dolphins and Sealions will be learning about 'Rainforests'. We will be learning about animals in Science and this week we have been starting our D.T project on making bird feeders. We are going to be busy attracting more bird life into our school grounds and helping them through the Winter months.

We all enjoyed our trip to Chester Zoo on 31st January, where we found out all about the animals that live in the Rainforests.  Remember to keep those warm- coats, scarves, gloves and hats in school this week as the weather is still chilly at breaktimes!.

PE this term continues on a Tuesday. Please have outdoor PE kit in school including outdoor footwear suitable for the field i.e trainers.

We would like to say a huge thank you for all the hard work that has gone into the rainforest models completed for homework last week. They are really impressive and on display in our library and in class at the moment. See the attached file to download for this week's homework. Please note the hand in date which is 28/2/18. Thank you

Christian Theme of the Month

The Christian theme for this half term is 'Thankfulness'.

In school we will be:

Exploring the concept of being thankful.

Encouraging pupils to develop further an appreciative and thankful attitude.

Encouraging pupils to show thankfulness in practical ways.

Parents and carers, please help us at home to support your child in their understanding of the above concepts.
